Terms of Use

Welcome to Mingle. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Use ("Terms"). Please read them carefully. These terms are structured in strict compliance with Section 1.2 (User-Generated Content) and Section 3.1 (Payments/Subscriptions) of the Apple App Store Review Guidelines.

1. Eligibility and Registration

To use Mingle, you must be at least 18 years old. Usage of the app by anyone under the age of 18 is strictly prohibited. You agree that all information provided during registration is accurate, current, and complete. Creating fake profiles or impersonating others is a severe violation of these Terms.

2. User-Generated Content (UGC) & Zero-Tolerance Policy

Mingle provides community feed, comment, and chat features that allow users to share content. You are solely responsible for the content you upload or share on the platform.

Zero-Tolerance Policy: We enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy against abusive behavior and objectionable content. The following are prohibited on Mingle:

• Harassment, bullying, stalking, threats, defamation, or intimidation directed at other users.
• Explicit sexual descriptions, nudity, pornography, or posts facilitating prostitution, human trafficking, or exploitation.
• Hate speech, discrimination, or mean-spirited remarks regarding religion, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, or national origin.
• Graphic violence, portrayals of physical harm, animal cruelty, or content encouraging self-harm.
• Facilitating the sale of weapons, ammunition, illegal drugs, tobacco, or other controlled substances.
• Spamming, fraudulent activities, phishing, or unauthorized commercial advertisements.

Violation of these rules will lead to immediate and permanent suspension of your account.

3. Moderation, Reporting, and Blocking Mechanisms

In compliance with App Store policies, Mingle provides the following tools to maintain community safety:

• Automated Filtering: Uploaded media is scanned using automated filters (including our NSFW image classifier) to block inappropriate images before they are viewed.
• Reporting System: Users can flag any post, comment, or user profile that violates these terms by tapping the "Report" button.
• Blocking System: Users can block any other user by tapping "Block" on their profile. Blocking immediately hides their posts and comments from your feed and prevents them from sending you messages.
• Action Window: All reported content and profiles are reviewed by our moderation team within 24 hours. Violating content will be permanently removed, and offending users will receive warnings or permanent account bans.

4. Mingle Radar and Location Services

The Mingle Radar feature uses your location data to find language partners in your vicinity. By enabling Mingle Radar, you consent to the processing of your location for this purpose. You can disable location access at any time via iOS Settings -> Mingle -> Location. Disabling location will render Mingle Radar unavailable, but you can still use the app's other features.

5. Premium Subscriptions & Billing

Mingle offers optional premium subscription plans (monthly and yearly) to unlock advanced features like profile visitors, removal of daily chat limits, and advanced filters. Payments are processed through the Apple App Store:

• Billing and Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions auto-renew automatically unless turned off in your iTunes Account Settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle.
• Cancellations and Refunds: You can cancel active subscriptions at any time via your Apple Account settings. All refund requests are handled exclusively by Apple.
• Restoring Purchases: If you change devices or reinstall the app, you can restore your active premium purchases for free by tapping the "Restore Purchases" button on the Paywall view.

6. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account access immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you violate these Terms of Use or our community guidelines. You can also delete your own account at any time via the settings view.
